The township of Tocumwal has a population of 2,800 and features historic riverfront streetscapes and buildings dating back to the 1860’s. The town is steeped in aviation history and was home to the largest military aerodrome in the Southern Hemisphere during WW2.

The aerodrome facilities include the Tocumwal Aviation Museum which also has a cafe that will be easily accessible from the airpark development. The airport has an active community of volunteers and holds regular events including airshows and international gliding competitions. Tocumwal Aerodrome is also home to the thriving Murray Valley Aero Club.

Activities in the local region include camping, fishing, bushwalking, and a 36-hole golf course. The course is close enough that you’ll be able to drive your golf cart from the hangar to the course. There are many fantastic dining venues in town and some of them provide free courtesy buses. The Berrigan Shire also holds regular weekend markets and a diverse array of cultural and sporting events.

Within a few minutes drive of the town there are no less than 25 tranquil beach spots along the Murray River. You may just like to enjoy yo ur favourite novel in the shade of a mighty river red gum on the banks of the Murray river!

This idyllic stretch of the Murray River is known as Sun Country because it boasts clear skies and sunny weather from January to December. Although Tocumwal offers a laid-back rural escape, it is also within easy driving distance of cities including Yarrawonga (40 mins), Shepparton (1 hour) and Albury/Wodonga (1 hour 40 mins).

The town of Tocumwal has a 16-bed hospital with emergency facilities, a GP clinic and two primary schools. WIthin 15 minutes drive are towns with more facilities and stores such as Target and Mitre 10.
